Box Score Three players recorded double-digit kills and sophomore libero Annie Leo (Shorewood, Wis.) tallied 26 digs to lead the University of Wisconsin-Parkside volleyball program to a 3-0 road victory (25-21, 25-23, 30-28) over Quincy on Thursday evening in the conference opener for both teams. With the win, Parkside improved to 3-6 overall and 1-0 in league action.

The Rangers controlled the majority of the opening two sets for a 2-0 lead, setting the stage for a thrilling third set. In the final set, the two teams were tied on 21 different occasions, including 28-28. After an error by Quincy gave Parkside a 29-28 edge, sophomore Leah Fenske (Oconomowoc, Wis.) finished the match with a kill.

Freshman Rachel Hedman (Stoughton, Wis.) totaled 11 kills while junior Lexie Calloway (Greenfield, Wis.) and Fenske each totaled 10 and senior Lexi Turek (Naperville, Ill.) added nine.

Junior setter Katie Adams (Racine, Wis.) directed the offense with 32 assists and added 11 digs for a double-double. Calloway and freshman Regan Stefan (Wausau, Wis.) also supported the strong defensive effort from Leo with 20 and 10, respectively.

After nine matches away, the Rangers will make their 2017 home debut on Saturday afternoon, welcoming William Jewell to Desimone Gymnasium at 3 p.m.
