SOMERS, Wis. – The UW-Parkside women's basketball won its third straight game as the team improved to 4-1 at DeSimone Gymnasium this season with a 46-39 win over MacMurray on Sunday afternoon.

The Rangers held the Highlanders scoreless over 6:00 into the first quarter, jumping out to 9-0 lead early after an Asiah Lawson 3-pointer. While Parkside never surrendered the lead back to MacMurray, the Highlanders kept it close throughout, cutting it to within five with 1:32 to play in the third after trailing by as many as 15. After MacMurray cut it to a 2-point lead with 5:33 to play in the game, Georgie Eishold hit a jumper and Ali Bettencourt connected on a 3-pointer to push the lead to seven and help put MacMurray away.
The Rangers had a balanced scoring attack, as no player finished in double-figures. Hayley Maystead led the team with nine points and grabbed five rebounds. Lawson finished with eight points and both Bettencourt and Maycee Kroening tallied six. Kroening also finished with five steals and Eishold had four assists and seven rebounds.
Parkside will look to go 2-0 in the GLVC as the team heads to Bellarmine on Wednesday, Dec. 7 for a 4:45 p.m. tip off.
