ORANGE, Calif. – The UW-Parkside women's basketball team closed out its trip at the DII Tip-off classic with a loss to Wayne State (Neb.) 99-56 Sunday afternoon.

Wayne State had a huge first quarter, outscoring the Rangers 32-13 to jump out to a big lead they would not lose. Parkside came back to outscore the Wildcats in the fourth quarter 19-18.
Carolina Rahkonen led the way for the Rangers' offense, scoring 12 points and grabbing six rebounds. Ali Bettencourt was the second Ranger in double-figures, scoring 10 and hitting a pair of 3-pointers. Georgie Eishold finished with seven points and 10 rebounds.
The Wildcats had a hot shooting day, going 40-for-72 from the floor for 55.6-percent and shooting 50-percent (8-for-16) from 3-point range. The team had 28 assists on 40 made field goals.
The Rangers will stay on the road for two more games before returning home, as the team heads to Cedarville for a game on Friday, Nov. 10 at 7:45 p.m. before facing Ohio Dominican on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 1 p.m.
