The Rangers tied their biggest lead of the game of five points late in the first half after an Adam Bonk 3-pointer with 3:28 to play and rode a 27-25 lead into the break. Early in the second half, Espen Fjaerestad connected on a 3-pointer to push the Ranger lead back to five, but an 8-0 Dustdevil run followed the Fjaerestad 3-pointer to help TAMIU regain the lead. After the team's traded the lead a few times, the Dustdevils jumped out to a 10-point lead with 1:09 and the Rangers couldn't recover.
Moore led the way offensively, going 6-for-10 from the floor while going 7-for-10 from the free-throw line. Bonk scored 13 points and hit a trio of 3-pointers while Ramar Evans added nine points and four rebounds off the bench.
The Rangers will host Minnesota-Duluth in the home opener on Saturday, Nov. 25 at 3 p.m. in DeSimone Gymnasium.
