SOMERS, Wis. -- Senior Josh Anthony upset eighth-ranked Austin Geerlings at 165 pounds and third-ranked Wisconsin-Parkside rallied to defeat fifth-ranked McKendree 21-15 in a Great Lakes Valley Conference dual on Tuesday in DeSimone Gymnasium.

With the Rangers trailing 9-6, Anthony got an escape point and then held on to defeat Geerlings 1-0 in the 165-pound bout. Sparked by the Anthony, the Rangers then won the next three matches to take a 21-9 lead heading into the heavyweight match.

Nick Becker, the top-ranked wrestler in the nation at 174 pounds, followed Anthony's win with a 7-2 decision over Nick Foster to improve to 13-0 on the season.

Montrail Johnson, who is ranked second nationally at 184 pounds, defeated Qian'te Wagner 14-10 to raise his record to 13-0 on the year and push the Rangers lead to 15-9.

James Lehman, who leads the Rangers in wins with 27, then overpowered Luke Diener in the 197 pound match. Trailing 7-1 after two periods, Diener was unable to continue in the third period and Lehman earned a medical forfeit win which upped the Rangers lead to 21-9.

Wisconsin-Parkside, which improved to 8-2 overall and 2-0 in the GLVC, also received victories from Ronzel Darling and Airk Furseth. Darling defeated Jarrett Reisenbichler 5-0 in the opening bout at 125 pounds and Furseth defeated NaQuan Hardy 5-4 at 133 pounds.

Wisconsin-Parkside returns to action on Saturday (Jan. 28) when it faces Bellarmine and Indianapolis in GLVC duals in Louisville.
