INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Mar. 26, 2016)-- The University of Wisconsin-Parkside softball team was unable to find a rhythm at the plate on Saturday afternoon, suffering 6-0 and 5-0 setbacks to second-ranked University of Indianapolis in a Great Lakes Valley Conference doubleheader at Baumgartner Field.

UIndy's Morgan Foley and Coryn Tirpak combined to toss a one-hitter in the opener, guiding the Greyhounds (29-0, 12-0 GLVC) to the 6-0 win. The hosts got on the board with two runs in the second before adding three more in the fifth and an insurance run in the sixth.

Carly Dundee was hit with the loss inside the circle, striking out three in the complete game effort. Foley accrued the win, striking out 12 in five innings of action while Tirpak retired all six batters she faced over the final two innings.

In game two, UIndy tallied single runs in both the third and sixth innings while piling on three in the fourth to secure the sweep.

Alexis Simone led the Rangers (3-25, 0-12 GLVC) offensively, finishing two-for-three at the plate.

Amber Ramos was saddled with the loss, pitching five innings and striking out three while allowing just one earned run. Foley again netted the win, fanning nine in five innings of action while Tirpak tossed two scoreless innings in relief.
