MEQUON, Wis. -- James Lehman and Matt Halverson each won by major decision as Wisconsin-Parkside pulled away from Concordia on its way to a 28-18 dual-match victory over the Falcons on Wednesday in R. John Buuck Field House.

Wisconsin-Parkside, which improved to 1-0 on the season, jumped out to an early lead behind a fall from Ronzel Darling and major decision victories by Christian Robertson and Brett Scoles. The Falcons got a fall and a forfeit at 184 pounds to cut the Ranger lead to 20-18.

Lehman righted the ship for Wisconsin-Parkside as he defeated Mason Baumgartner 14-3 at 197 pounds to increase the Rangers lead to 24-18.

Halverson then capped off the night at 285 pounds as he dominated John Hinson on his way to a 14-0 victory to clinch the match for Wisconsin-Parkside

Darling opened the competition with a fall at the 3:31 mark over Matthew Saldana in the 125 pound match.

Following a forfeit win by Airk Furseth, Robertson notched his first career victory as he recorded a 14-3 major decision victory over Josh Curcio at 141 pounds.

Miguel Betancourt got Concordia on the scoreboard as he notched a 5-4 win over Cody Walrath at 157 pounds.

Scoles then posted a 14-4 major decision win over Eli Were at 157 pounds to increase the Rangers lead to 20-3 before the Falcons notched wins at 165 pounds and 174 pounds and a forfeit win at 184 pounds to climb back into the match.

Lehman and Halverson then wrapped up the win for Wisconsin-Parkside with decisive victories.

Wisconsin-Parkside returns to action on Nov. 15 when it visits Wisconsin-Stevens Point for a 7 p.m. dual match.
