(Sept. 25, 2015)-- Conceding a goal in each half, the University of Wisconsin-Parkside women's soccer team suffered a 2-1 setback at the hands of the University of Missouri-Saint Louis on Friday afternoon in a Great Lakes Valley Conference match at Wood Road Field.

Despite the Rangers (2-4-1, 1-3-1 GLVC) dominating possession and total shots, the hosts saw themselves staring at 1-0 halftime deficit after UMSL's Kali Thomas netted a goal in the 40th minute.

The Tritons (3-1-2, 2-1-1 GLVC) struck again early in the second half with Cassie McFadden just two minutes and 18 seconds into the final stanza. UW-Parkside reduced the deficit to a single goal after
Chloe Couves beat the keeper on a 30-yard strike just over a minute later but was unable to come any closer.

The Rangers owned a 10-5 edge in shots in the first half but the advantage swung in the other direction in the final 45 minutes with the Tritons taking nine of the 14 second half shots.

Sarah Dobrowolski logged all 90 minutes between the posts, netting four saves while UMSL's Megan Ohm made four saves to etch the win.

The Rangers finish out their homestand on Sunday, welcoming Maryville University to Wood Road Field with kickoff slated for noon.
