(Sept. 20, 2015)-- Evan Garcia tallied a pair of goals while the University of Wisconsin-Parkside defensive unit collected its third shutout of the season, steamrolling host Truman State University 3-0 on Sunday in a Great Lakes Valley Conference men's soccer match at Bulldog Park.

Scott Nicolai opened the scoring in the 29th minute, scoring on a header off a pass from
Brandon Henderson as the visiting Rangers (3-3, 3-1 GLVC) enjoyed a 1-0 lead at the halftime intermission.

Garcia doubled the UW-Parkside lead in the 65th minute scoring off a pass from
Jaime Colin before adding an additional insurance score in the 84th minute, beating the Bulldogs' keeper on a breakaway with
Henry Raymonds notching his first collegiate assist.

Despite dominating the scoring, host Truman State (2-4, 2-2 GLVC) owned a 14-7 edge in shots, including a 6-4 advantage in shots on target.

Reigning GLVc Defender of the Week
Remi Bibal logged all 90 minutes between the posts, nabbing six saves for his third shutout of the GLVC season. Truman's Drew Orf made one save and allowed three goals in the losing effort.

The Rangers return to the friendly confines of Wood Road Field on Friday, hosting University of Missouri-Saint Louis with kickoff slated for 3:30 p.m.
