KIRKSVILLE, Mo. (Sept. 20, 2015)-- Evan Garcia tallied a pair of goals while the University of Wisconsin-Parkside defensive unit collected its third shutout of the season, steamrolling host Truman State University 3-0 on Sunday in a Great Lakes Valley Conference men's soccer match at Bulldog Park.

Scott Nicolai opened the scoring in the 29th minute, scoring on a header off a pass from Brandon Henderson as the visiting Rangers (3-3, 3-1 GLVC) enjoyed a 1-0 lead at the halftime intermission.

Garcia doubled the UW-Parkside lead in the 65th minute scoring off a pass from Jaime Colin before adding an additional insurance score in the 84th minute, beating the Bulldogs' keeper on a breakaway with Henry Raymonds notching his first collegiate assist.

Despite dominating the scoring, host Truman State (2-4, 2-2 GLVC) owned a 14-7 edge in shots, including a 6-4 advantage in shots on target.
