(Sept. 11, 2015)-- The University of Wisconsin-Parkside women's soccer team held a commanding edge in both possession and shots but was unable to find the back of the net, falling 1-0 to Saint Joseph's College in the Great Lakes Valley Conference opener on Friday at Wood Road Field.
The visiting Pumas (1-1-1, 1-0 GLVC) tallied the lone goal of the contest in the first half with Brittany Santoro blasting a shot from 25-yards out in the 40th minute off a feed from Jennifer Phillips.
The Rangers (1-2, 0-1 GLVC) continued to struggle to put the ball on frame, tallying 17 total shots on the afternoon but just four on goal. UW-Parkside owned a 17-10 edge in shots, including 10 of the 14 shots taken in the second half while earning eight corner kicks on the afternoon.

Sarah Dobrowolski collected four saves on the afternoon while her counterpart Amanda Volk stopped four balls to claim the shutout.
UW-Parkside embarks on its first road trip of the season on Sunday, taking on the University of Indianapolis at Key Stadium with kickoff slated for 12 p.m. (Eastern Time).
