SOMERS, Wis. (Oct. 9, 2015)-- The University of Wisconsin-Parkside women's soccer team was unable to find the back of the net against one of the nation's stingiest defenses on Friday afternoon, falling 1-0 to 14th-ranked Bellarmine University in a Great Lakes Valley Conference clash at Wood Road Field.

The contest's lone score came in the 75th minute with Bellarmine's (11-0-1, 8-0-1 GLVC) Jordan Chlebowy slipping the ball into the net with a shot from the right side of the box off a feed from Erika Laws.

The Knights owned a slim 13-12 advantage in shots over the evenly played 90-minute affair with both squads taking eight shots on goal. The Rangers (3-7-1, 2-6-1 GLVC) owned a 4-3 edge in shots on goal in the opening stanza while each team had seven total shots.

Sarah Dobrowolski made seven saves in goal for the Rangers while her counterpart, Taylor Smith, stopped eight shots to collect the shutout, Bellarmine's 11th of the season.

UW-Parkside closes out its homestand on Sunday afternoon, hosting GLVC rival University of Southern Indiana at 12 p.m.
