SOMERS, Wis. (Oct. 11, 2015)-- Jillian Hetfleisch netted her second collegiate hat-trick on Sunday afternoon, helping the University of Wisconsin-Parkside women's soccer squad cruise past Great Lakes Valley Conference rival University of Southern Indiana 4-1 at Wood Road Field.

Ranger fans were barely able to find their seats before the first goal was tallied with Hetfleisch scoring 97 seconds into the match. The junior corralled a rebound off her own shot and beat the USI keeper to stake an early 1-0 advantage. Hetfleisch struck again in the 22nd minute, blasting a shot from the right side off a feed from Vianey Hernandez. Lauren Bialas tacked on a score just 62 seconds later, hitting a shot from 30-yards out off a pass from Chloe Couves as the hosts enjoyed a 3-0 lead at the halftime intermission.

The Screaming Eagles (4-6-2, 3-6-1 GLVC) broke up the shutout in the 48th minute with Olivia Wilde scoring unassisted from 35-yards out on a free kick. UW-Parkside (4-7-1, 3-6-1 GLVC) padded its lead in the 60th minute with Hetfleisch completing the hat-trick for the 3-1 lead, her fifth score of 2015 off another feed from Hernandez.

The hat-trick was the second of Hetfleisch's career, having previously scored three goals at the expense of Missouri University S&T back on Sept. 12, 2014.

The Rangers' offense was firing on all cylinders, putting together its highest scoring output of the season while owning a 25-7 advantage in shots. Defensively, Parkside clamped down on Southern Indiana, allowing just two shots on goal all game.

Sarah Dobrowolski made one save in goal for the Rangers, playing the opening 58 minutes before giving way to Kayla Tabalske who faced no shots on goal over the final 32 minutes of action. USI's Emily Hopkins suffered the loss, yielding three goals and making four saves in 36 minutes of work. Jackie Lohmann came off the bench and played the final 55 minutes, notching three saves and conceding one score.

The Rangers return to the pitch on Friday afternoon, traveling to Springfield, Missouri, to face Drury University.
