SOMERS, Wis. (Oct. 23, 2015)-- Brandon Henderson tallied the equalizer as time expired as the University of Wisconsin-Parkside men's soccer team battled to a 2-2 double overtime stalemate against Great Lakes Valley Conference rival William Jewell College on Friday afternoon at Wood Road Field.

Henderson slipped the ball past the Cardinal goalkeeper just as time expired in a mad scramble in front of the net in the 90th minute. The goal was Henderson's first collegiate score while Evan Garcia notched the assist, his third of the 2015 campaign.

UW-Parkside (5-7-3, 5-5-3 GLVC) seized an early lead in the 10th minute with Ryan Shogren netting his sixth goal of the season off assists from Ben Kosmider and Elliott Schultz. The Ranger lead evaporated in the 51st minute with William Jewell's Ethan Delaney leveling the score at 1-1 while Evan Miller scored the go-ahead score in the 67th minute to give the visitors the 2-1 lead.

UW-Parkside dominated the two 10-minute overtime sessions, owning a 7-1 edge in shots including a blast that nearly crossed the line. The Rangers finished the afternoon with a 23-18 lead in shots while Jewell (3-10-3, 2-9-2 GLVC) owned a 9-6 advantage in shots on target.

Remi Bibal made seven saves in 110 minutes of work for the Rangers while his counterpart, Joe Keeven, stymied four shots.

Friday's contest was the eighth GLVC game to extend into overtime for the Rangers this year and the seventh time in the last nine games.

The Green and White close out the home slate on Sunday afternoon, hosting nationally-ranked Rockhurst University at 2:30 p.m.
