ROLLA, Mo. (Oct. 18, 2015)-- The University of Wisconsin-Parkside's three-match unbeaten streak came to a halt on Sunday afternoon, falling 1-0 to Missouri University S&T in a Great Lakes Valley Conference men's soccer match at S&T Soccer Field.

The Miners' (9-6, 8-4 GLVC) Kramer Hall provided the game's lobe score, netting the goal in the 66th minute off a feed from Eduardo Abichabki.

The game was scoreless at the halftime intermission with the Rangers (5-7-2, 5-5-2 GLVC) owning a 7-5 edge in shots. The tide turned in the second 45 minutes of play, with Missouri S&T ending the contest with a 19-11 advantage in shots.

The contest ended on a somber note with the game called with 11 seconds remaining after a big collision left a Missouri S&T student-athlete unconscious.

"Moments like that really put things in perspective," said Head Coach Jason Zitzke. "The entire Ranger soccer family would like to extend our thoughts and prayers to the Miners and the family of the injured student-athlete and wish him a speedy recovery."

Goalkeeper Remi Bibal notched seven saves in 90 minutes of action while S&T's James Holloway tallied seven saves to secure the shutout win.

The Rangers return to action on Friday at Wood Road Field, hosting William Jewell College at 3:30 p.m.
