SOMERS, Wis. (Oct. 11, 2015)-- Neither team was able to find separation after 110 minutes of play as the University of Wisconsin-Parkside men's soccer team battled to a 1-1 double overtime draw against the University of Southern Indiana in a Great Lakes Valley Conference clash on Sunday at Wood Road Field.

The visiting Screaming Eagles (4-6-2, 2-6-2 GLVC) drew first blood with Kasper Bjoro scoring off a Braiden Acton assist in the seventh minute of play. Southern Indiana maintained a one-goal edge until late in the second half with Ryan Shogren equalizing the score in the 75th minute with a shot just inside the box. The goal was the junior's fifth overall of the 2015 campaign, sending the game to sudden death overtime.

Neither team was able to penetrate the goalmouth in the two 10-minute extra periods with the game ending in a 1-1 stalemate. The best scoring chance in overtime came from Shogren who blasted a shot with the USI keeper out of position. The Screaming Eagles were bailed out as the shot was diverted by a well-placed USi defender on the goal line.

UW-Parkside (4-6-2, 4-4-2 GLVC) owned a 16-9 edge in shots, including a 13-6 edge over the final 65 minutes of play. The host Rangers additionally held a 9-3 advantage in shots on goal and an 8-3 lead in corner kicks taken.

Remi Bibal played all 110 minutes in goal for Parkside, making two saves while his counterpart, Adam Zehme, made seven stops.

The game was the sixth consecutive overtime contest for the Rangers who have now logged 66 extra minutes on the pitch over that stretch.

UW-Parkside returns to action on Friday night, heading south to Springfield, Missouri, to face Drury University.
