Box ScoreLEBANON, Ill. (Sept. 27, 2014)-- The University of Wisconsin-Parkside volleyball team dropped a four-set road match to conference rivals McKendree University on Saturday. The Bearcats topped the Rangers at the Harry M. Statham Sports Center by the scores of 25-16, 25-18, 23-25, 25-11.
The visiting Rangers  (6-5, 3-3 GLVC) lost a tough two opening sets to the Bearcats (6-6, 3-3 GLVC), but were able to extend the match by battling to win the third set 25-23. McKendree proved to be too tough for the Rangers, and closed the match out with a strong 25-11 final set.
Jackie Langer led the Rangers with nine kills followed closely by
Rebecca Roembke and
Meghan Conley with eight and six.
Megan Pekarek compiled 25 assists and
Jessi Mainczyk put up 15 digs.
Parkside moves on to Romeoville, IL to face Lewis University on Tuesday for the third match of a five match road swing.
