(Sept. 19, 2014)-- The University of Wisconsin-Parkside men's soccer squad was unable to match the firepower of Great Lakes Valley Conference rival Rockhurst University on Friday night, falling 5-0 at Bourke Field.
Michael Panarisi netted the first goal for the Hawks in the 13th minute as the hosts enjoyed a 1-0 lead at the halftime break. Panarisi struck again in the 57th minute while Rockhurst tacked on insurance scores in the 60th, 68th and 72nd minutes for the final 5-0 tally.
Marcos Perez logged all 90 minutes in goal for the Rangers (2-3, 0-3 GLVC), recording four saves in the losing effort while Rockhurst's Stefano Radio picked up the clean sheet.
The Rangers return to action on Sunday, heading to Liberal, Missouri to take on William Jewell College at 2:30 p.m.
