RENSSELAER, Ind. (Oct. 26, 2014)-- Nemanja Medic tallied a goal and a pair of assists helping the University of Wisconsin-Parkside men's soccer team dispose of host Saint Joseph's College 3-1 on Sunday afternoon in a Great Lakes Valley Conference skirmish at Minielli Field.

Abraham Kanneh opened the scoring in the 17th minute, heading the ball past the Puma keeper on a free kick with Medic logging the assist. The Rangers (9-7-1, 6-7-1 GLVC) needed just four more minutes to double the lead with Medic scoring unassisted for his team-leading ninth goal of the year.

The Pumas (1-14-1, 1-12-1 GLVC) got on the board in the 37th minute with Eric Frasco converting a penalty kick as UW-Parkside took a 2-1 lead into the halftime break.

Saint Joseph's was reduced to 10-men in the 72nd minute and the Rangers capitalized in the 82nd minute with Antonio Gonzalez tacking on an insurance score with Medic getting credit for the assist.

UW-Parkside finished the contest with a 19-14 edge in shots, including a 12-7 edge in the final 45 minutes of play.

Marcos Perez played all 90 minutes in net, making six saves while only conceding the penalty kick. SJC's Lewis Jones IV suffered the loss, yielding three goals and making six saves in 90 minutes of work.

The Rangers are still fighting for a chance at the eighth and final spot in the GLVC Tournament with one game left in the regular season. UW-Parkside hosts Lewis University on Wednesday at 1:15 p.m. inside Wood Road Field for Senior Day.
