SOMERS, Wis. (Dec. 11, 2013)-- The University of Wisconsin-Parkside wrestling squad flexed its muscles against in-state rival Concordia University on Wednesday night, winning eight of the ten weight classes and rolling to the 37-8 victory inside DeSimone Gymnasium.
The visiting Falcons (1-1) opened the dual with a major decision victory at 157-pounds but it was all Rangers (2-1) the rest of the way.
Nick Fishback won by decision 6-0 over Casey Kenealy at the 165-pound weight class while
Montrail Johnson notched a 22-6 tech fall victory at 174-pounds, improving his season record to 16-3.
Josh Anthony etched a 17-1 tech fall win at 184-pounds while
Brady Stumpf pinned Ryan Cook at 285-pounds.
Ronzel Darling notched the Rangers' third tech fall of the night, downing Brandon Mayhew 23-8 at 125-pounds to improve to 17-4 on the season while
Joseph Her edged Marcus Lubner 8-5 at 133.
Adam Yde won by forfeit at 141 while
Brandt Welcher closed the competition with a 12-3 major decision victory over Eric Lease at 149-pounds.
The Rangers return to the mat on Saturday, heading to Minnesota for the Saint Cloud State Open.
