High School: Was a two-time Illinois AAA State qualifier...Senior year he placed fifth at 140 pounds...Overall high school record was 120-44...Helped lead Carl Sandburg to a second place finish at the Illinois AAA State Tournament as a junior and a third place finish as a senior...Two-time Illinois freestyle state placewinner...Was a high school teammate of UW-Parkside's Nick Fishback.
