SOMERS, Wis. (Oct. 12, 2013)-- The University of Wisconsin-Parkside volleyball squad landed on the wrong side of a back-and-forth affair on Saturday afternoon, stumbling 3-1 (25-20, 15-25, 25-23, 25-23) against the University of Southern Indiana in a Great Lakes Valley Conference showdown inside DeSimone Gymnasium.

Visiting Southern Indiana (13-4, 7-2 GLVC) collected the opening three points of the match but the Rangers (10-8, 4-5 GLVC) grabbed the 12-10 lead later in the first set after accumulating five straight points. The Screaming Eagles regained the lead and led 18-14 before four straight by the home side evened the score at 18. USI closed out the opening set on a 7-2 run to secure the 25-20 win.

UW-Parkside surged to a 4-0 lead in the second set and never looked back, dominating the Eagles 25-15.
