LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Jan. 17, 2013)-- The University of Wisconsin-Parkside women's basketball squad nearly erased a 17-point deficit but was unable to convert in the waning moments of play, suffering a 66-60 setback to host Bellarmine University on Thursday night inside Knights Hall.
The host Knights (12-4, 2-3 GLVC) came out firing on all cylinders, utilizing a 13-4 spurt to turn a 2-2 tie into a nine-point buffer with 12:30 remaining in the first half. The Rangers (8-5, 2-3 GLVC) countered with just over five minutes left in the first half, scoring nine unanswered points to tie the game at 24 with 4:15 remaining before halftime.

Maddie Johnston layup.
The Rangers misfired on their final three shots of the night while the host's converted a layup and a free throw for the final six-point margin, sending UW-Parkside its largest loss of the GLVC season.
Tara Knapstein came off the bench and led the Rangers, registering her second double figure scoring output of the season with 14 points, hitting three shots from beyond the arc while grabbing five rebounds. Endisch added 10 points while Slivka, West and
