SOMERS, Wis. (Sept. 15, 2012)-- The University of Wisconsin-Parkside volleyball squad returned to the win column on Saturday, prevailing 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 25-20) against host Saint Joseph's College in a Great Lakes Valley Conference match at Scharf Fieldhouse.

The victory was the Rangers (8-2, 1-1) eighth three-set victory of the season. UW-Parkside downed the Pumas (3-8, 0-2 GLVC) 25-21 in the opening set before posting 25-19 and 25-20 wins in sets two and three to secure the sweep and the match victory.

Bridget Nickel led the attack with 13 kills with Ryann Arundel adding nine. Tricia Tirabassi paced UWP with 20 assists while Chelsea Neave added 15. Sarah Mlachnik set the tone defensively, racking up 16 digs with Tirabassi adding 10. Kendyl Danelski and Nickel both tallied three blocks.

Erin Hyland led the Pumas with 10 kills, Leah Zehme added 18 assists while Alyssa Guamaccia led St. Joseph's with 13 digs.

The Rangers continue their GLVC road swing on Tuesday, traveling to Romeoville, Ill. to face Lewis University at 7 p.m.
