The UW-Parkside Women's Basketball team's hopes for a GLVC Championship ended Saturday night with a 64-56 defeat at the hands of Lewis University. The Rangers were never able to get on-track offensively as they were held their fourth lowest output of the season.

Despite the loss the Rangers are all but assured an at-large berth in the NCAA Tournament when the bids are announced Sunday night. The team was ranked third in the Midwest Region and will likely remain there with all the teams behind them suffering losses this week.

Brittany Hogen finished with 16 points to lead Parkside. Brittany Beyer added 14 points and Jaleesa Trussell had a strong game off the bench scoring 10 points to go with seven rebounds. The team was just 3-for-13 from the three point line and attempted a season-low four free throws.
