Quincy clash to close home season

Head coach Luke Reigel is looking for a win on Senior Night

One more home game remains on the 2010-11 season for the UW-Parkside men's basketball team. The Rangers will host Quincy University, Monday, Feb. 14. The game with the Hawks is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff.

The Rangers are coming off of a 69-45 loss at Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois, on Saturday. The loss left the Rangers with an 8-15 overall record. The team is 5-10 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Jordan Mach came up with 11 points at Lewis. Teammate Jeremy Saffold pulled down 11 rebounds.

The Quincy clash is key for the Rangers, who are looking to gain entry into the GLVC tournament. Last season, the Rangers won a first-round game in the league tournament, before falling to Kentucky Wesleyan in Owensboro, Kentucky, in the second round.

It will be Senior Day against the Hawks. The Rangers will bid farewell to four seniors including Andy Fitzgerald, Dwayne Edwards, Tim Baines and Matt Gertenbach. Fitzgerald has been in the program for 4 years and Edwards has played for two seasons. Baines and Gertenbach are in their lone season with the Rangers in 2010-11.
