The UW-Parkside volleyball team served notice to the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and for all of NCAA Division II for that matter, Friday night. The Rangers defeated Indianapolis, a club which came to the DeSimone Gymnasium ranked No. 9 in the nation, 18-25, 25-15, 26-24, 29-27.

Adrienne Uthe terminated the match, igniting an on-court celebration. The win bumps the Rangers' overall record to 6-3. The Greyhounds fell to 7-3. The match was the Great Lakes Valley Conference opener for both squads.
Indianapolis led, 18-13 in the fourth set before the Rangers staged a ferocious comeback. It was reminiscent of the third set, in which the Rangers trailed at that exact same stage of 18-13.
Caroline Langer led the Rangers in kills with 13.
Addie Kramer notched a dozen kills while teammate
Cassie Wilkens added 11.
Courtney Stack dished out 26 assists.
Tami Gleason was strong at the net with one solo block and six block assists.
The Rangers logged a .177 hitting percentage for the match, compared to .136 for Indianapolis. The Ranger high water mark was in Set Two when they hit for a .387 percentage.
Parkside looks to build on its momentum Saturday, Sept. 18, at 3:00 p.m. when the Pumas of Saint Joseph's College come calling at the DeSimone Gymnasium.
