The UW-Parkside Women's Basketball team invites students, faculty, staff and community to the 2010 “Pink Game”. The game will be on February 20 at the SAC, with a 1 PM tip-off against Illinois-Springfield.

The Pink Game is being hosted as a part of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Pink Zone Initiative, a global, unified effort for WBCA coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.

As part of the Pink Game, participating student-athletes will be wearing special gear designed to raise awareness.

Fans will also have the chance to get involved by purchasing souvenir commemorative T-Shirts. The shirts will be available at the ticket gate, and any fans buying a shirt will receive free admission to the game, which will be UW-Parkside's regular season finale.

All proceeds from the shirt sales, in-game silent auction, and 50/50 raffle will be donated to local charities in support of their fight against breast cancer.

For more information on the Pink Game, contact the Athletic Department at (262) 595-2245.
