The UW-Parkside men's basketball team had its chances late in the game; however, visiting Lewis held off the Rangers, 63-58, in the DeSimone Gymnasium Thursday night.
Lewis forced three turnovers in the last 2 minutes. Parkside had its chances shooting, mis-firing on three three-point shots while down one point down the stretch.
"Hopefully, our young guys take the close losses we have suffered at home this year to heart and we'll be on the other end of it next year," said UW-Parkside head coach

The Rangers battled back from a 44-32 deficit with 16 minutes to play. The team led with 4 minutes to go on a nifty underneath pass from
Kevin Senechalle to
Sam Katula which gave the Rangers a brief 58-57 advantage.
Senechalle and
Jeremy Saffold led the Rangers in scoring with 10 points apiece.
Lewis jumped to 15-9 overall and 7-8 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Parkside fell to 8-16 overall and 3-12 in league play.
The Rangers will travel to Quincy for its next game Monday, Feb. 15. Tipoff is at 7:30 p.m.
