Cougars swept from DeSimone Gymnasium

It took only an hour as the UW-Parkside volleyball team won in straight sets over visiting Saint Xavier Tuesday night in the DeSimone Gymnasium, 25-21, 25-15, 25-23.

The win ups the Ranger overall record to 13-6. The Cougars, an NAIA team from the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference, dipped to 14-8.

Three Rangers reached double figures in kills in the abbreviated match. Cassy Marx led all hitters with 11 kills, while teammates Caroline Langer and Rachel Burmester added 10 apiece.

The Rangers hit for a .228 percentage while limiting their guest to just .090 including a -.038 in the second set.
