Box Score
The UW-Parkside volleyball team made the trip to St. Louis where it went to a new place in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, Maryville University. The league's newcomers had all they could handle as the Rangers cruised to a 25-15, 25-22, 25-17, sweep of the Saints.
The win keeps the Rangers' post-season hopes alive. They trail a pair of teams by one match for the eighth and final spot for a GLVC tournment birth. With two matches yet to play, Parkside will likely need to win both while getting out-of-town help. See standings: http://www.glvcsports.org/index.aspx?tab=volleyball&path=vball
The Rangers will have both of those matches at home. They will host Rockhurst, Friday, Nov. 6, at 7:00 p.m., before closing the regular season with Drury, Saturday, Nov. 7, at 3:00 p.m.
The win at Maryville saw the Rangers hit at a .284 clip, while the Saints were limited to .028.
Tami Gleason and Addie Kramer each had double digits in kills with 10 apiece. Kramer hit for a stellar .769 percentage with 13 attempts and no errors.
Should the Rangers win their last two matches, they will have earned 23 victories, which is something that the program has not achieved since 1997.
