Box Score
You would have to go back to 2005 to find more wins for a UW-Parkside volleyball team in one season. The 2009 squad upped its win total to 15 after a stellar 25-20, 25-16, 25-23, triumph over Missouri S&T in a match contested in the DeSimone Gymnasium Friday night.
With 14 more regular season matches still on the docket, that win total will likely go back well beyond 2005. The Rangers are now 15-5 overall and 3-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
Missouri S&T is now 6-15 overall and 2-3 in league play.
Addie Kramer had 11 kills for the Rangers in 22 total attacks. Teammate Tami Gleason had 10 kills in 20 total attacks. Gleason had a big night with 15 digs six block assists and one solo block.
As a squad, the Rangers hit for a .283 percentage. The Miner hit for a .146.
The Rangers led from box-to-wire in the first two sets. The team found itself on the short end of a 15-11 score in Set 3 before rallying back. The set was tied at 23 when the Rangers tallied two in a row to terminate the match.
Next up for UW-Parkside is a matinee with Missouri-St. Louis. The bout will be contested in the DeSimone Gymnasium Saturday, Oct. 3, at 3 p.m.
