Scoreless soccer at Quincy

The net on either side was not disturbed in 110 minutes of soccer at Quincy Sunday afternoon. The UW-Parkside women's soccer team and the homestanding Hawks battled to a 0-0 deadlock.

The tie left the Rangers with an 8-3-3 overall record. UWP is 7-3-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Quincy logged its first tie of the season and is now 11-4-1 overall and 9-2-1 in league play.

The Rangers could not muster a shot on goal in the double overtime contest. Ranger netminder Cassie Glodowski made four saves.

Shot attempts stood at 14-5 in favor of the Hawks.

The game marked the third straight match in which the Rangers have shutout their opponent. It also marked the third time the team has been shutout this year.

Next up on the Rangers schedule is a home match with Rockhurst Friday, Oct. 23, at 1:15 p.m.
