Two missed three-point attempts in the closing seconds by visiting Drury allowed the Rangers to hold off the Panthers in a 74-71 victory. The win by the Rangers gave Drury its first loss of the Great Lakes Valley Conference season, falling to 3-1. UWP is now 1-4 in league play and 4-9 overall. Drury is 10-4 overall.
The game was played in the DeSimone Gymnasium Thursday night.
LaVontay Fenderson made a nice move underneath and scored to give the Rangers a 74-69 gap with 17.5 second left in the game. The Ranger defense did the rest.
Drury charged out to an 18-7 lead, just 6 minutes into the first half. The Rangers forged into the lead at 37-36 at intermission.
The Panthers shot 55 percent in the first half and held the Rangers to a 38 percent ratio, yet the Rangers were on top.

scored a career-high 20 points. Fenderson tallied a game-high 23. Dave Keane# added 14 points to the winning cause.
DaMarcus Bell had a solid stat line with 8 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists.
UW-Parkside will host Missouri S&T Saturday at 3 p.m.
