The UW-Parkside wrestling team had a good day at the Central Missouri Dual Jamboree Sunday. The Rangers won three of their four dual meets, losing only to defending national champion Nebraska-Kearney, 22-18. UNK is currently ranked No. 4 in the nation.
The Rangers defeated Fort Hays State, 21-12; host Central Missouri, 23-17; and Truman State, 47-6.
Cody Zimmerman (125), Craig Becker (149) and Corey VanGroll (165) each went 4-0 on the day. Becker is ranked No. 1 in the country at 149 pounds and continued his perfection with a 20-0 record. Zimmerman is now 36-5 and VanGroll is 32-5.
The two Lukes, Rynish (174) and Haag (184), each were 3-1 in the event.
UW-Parkside wrestlers won 25 of their 40 bouts.
UW-Parkside will host its final home event of the 2008-09 season Wednesday, Jan. 28. UW-Oshkosh will be in the DeSimone Gymnasium for a 7 p.m. dual meet.
