Pointers pull out tight dual

The UW-Parkside wrestling team, ranked No. 10 in NCAA Division II, dropped a close 18-16 decision at NCAA Division III UW-Stevens Point Tuesday night in the Berg Gym. The Pointers overcame an early 16-6 deficit, capped with a pin in the 285-pound match, giving the home team their 11th dual match win in 14 tries. The Rangers slipped to 5-4 in dual meets.

The Rangers will take part in the Central Missouri Jamboree in Warrensburg, Missouri, Sunday, Jan. 25, beginning at 9 a.m. The team will return home for a dual meet with UW-Oshkosh Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 7 p.m.
