The Ranger men's basketball team was a perfect 2-0 on the week's homestand after beating Missouri S&T, 80-77.

UW-Parkside saw its 41-30 halftime lead evaporate when the Miners took a 58-56 lead on a putback by Adam Knollmeyer with 9:40 to in the game. Parkside answered back on a three-point shot by Dave Keane to take a 61-58 lead. The Rangers never trailed after that.

Casey Noll pulled the Miners to within 78-77 with 22 seconds left. #D.J. Dantzler# scored easily on the press break with 14 seconds left to put the Rangers back up by three.

A steal by Marcus Carter on S&T's final possession sealed the win for the Rangers.

UW-Parkside moved to 2-4 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Lavontay Fenderson, who leads the country in scoring paced the Rangers with 20 points. Dantzler had 18 points. Keane added 16.

The team will play at Quincy Thursday, Jan. 15. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
