Despite a solid performance from sophomore Tami Gleason, the University of Wisconsin-Parkside volleyball team fell Friday night to visiting Rockhurst, 25-21, 25-23, 20-25 and 25-17.
Gleason made the most of her opportunities, tallying 11 kills on 22 attempts (.455 percentage). She also notched four block assists, part of a team total of nine blocks.
UW-P (6-10, 2-5 GLVC) also got double-figure kill performances from Addie Kramer (10) and Cassie Wilkens (11).
Errors plagued the Ranger efforts throughout the match, as the team posted 33 attack errors and eight service errors, en route to a team hitting average of .137.
Rockhurst (10-5, 5-1 GLVC) was led by Katy Hernandez's 14 kills. Andrea Schroeder (18 digs, 25 service receptions) and Audrey Boese (14 digs, 25 service receptions) led the defensive effort for the Hawks.
The Rangers will play at home on Saturday, Sept. 27, at 3 p.m. vs. Drury. It will be Junior Ranger Day.
