There were no lead changes in a women's basketball game at Saint Joseph's College Thursday night. That's because the Rangers needed only 40 seconds to grab the early lead, extend it to 6-0 and then 21-7, en route to an easy 68-44 victory.
The lead swelled to 24 points at 43-19 at halftime. The Rangers led by as many as 25 points in the second half, trading baskets with the home team.
The Ranger win, plus a loss by Lewis at Indianapolis, allowed the Rangers to leapfrog the Flyers in the standings, strengthening its stance in reaching for the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament. See standings at:

"We had contributions from a lot of people tonight," head coach Jenny Kenesie told WRJN radio after the game. "Our players off the bench played well."
UW-Parkside got 25 points from its reserves, 15 in the first half.
Amanda Gibson played 38 minutes and had only one turnover from the crucial point-guard position. She led the team in scoring with 16 points, all while dishing out 11 assists, which was three more than Saint Joseph's entire team.
Kayla Ming chipped in 13 points and Chelsey Schadler added a dozen.
UW-Parkside had many more opportunities with 60 shot attempts, compared to the Pumas' 36. UW-P had a total of 17 offensive rebounds, allowing the desparity.
The win moves the Rangers to 15-9 overall and 9-7 in the GLVC. The Pumas saw their losing streak extend to 17 and are now 1-22, 0-16.
