Brittany Kaim (Palos Hills, Ill.) scored in the 27th minute; however, the UW-Parkside women's soccer team could not make the tally hold up in a 2-1 loss at Quincy Sunday afternoon. Kaim's goal, assisted by Meredith Novak (Batavia, Ill.), came on a header off of a corner kick at 27:16. It was Kaim's third goal of the year and Novak's fourth assist.
Novak leads the Rangers in total points with four goals and four assists for 12 points. Kaim is next best in total points with three goals and four assists for 10 points.
The Hawks flew back in the Great Lakes Valley Conference contest with second-half goals at 46:57 and 64:46. The Hawks had four shots on goal compared to the Rangers' seven.
The loss was the second in a row for UW-Parkside. The team has emerged victorious only once in its last five outings after a 4-0 start. The club is 5-3-1 overall and 2-3-1 in the GLVC.

UW-Parkside will host Indianapolis in its next match. The game will be played at Wood Road Field Friday, Sept. 28, starting at 1:15 p.m.
