The UW-Parkside men's soccer team is in unfamiliar territory. At the end of play on Sunday, the squad finds itself in tenth place in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

UW-Parkside dropped a see-saw game at Quincy, 3-2, Sunday afternoon, dropping the Ranger league record to 2-4. The squad is 6-4 overall.
The Rangers got on the scoreboard first with a goal by Renaldo Vega (Oakdale, Minn.), his first of the season, at 17:54. It was assisted by Johnson Thao (St. Paul, Minn.).
The score remained 1-0 at halftime. The Hawks beat Ranger goalkeeper Victor Perez (Kenosha, Wis.) at 66:08 and 73:16 to grab a 2-1 lead. The Rangers tied it up when Ben Kreple (Traverse City, Mich.) set up Jose Alfaro (Aurora, Ill.) at 75:35. A goal at 80:16 by Quincy turned out to be the game-winner.
The Hawks put six shots on goal and the Rangers, four.
UW-Parkside returns to action Friday, Sept. 28. The team will host Indianapolis for a 3:30 p.m. match at Wood Road Field.
