Renaldo Vega played in 16 games, starting one, in his first season.  He scored a goal in his first collegiate game August 25 vs. Northwood and later scored goals in back-to-back games, September 25 and 30, at Northern Kentucky and vs. Missouri-Rolla respectively. He began 2006 as part of a three-man rotation as a wide midfielder and gave solid contributioins. Vega redshirted in 2004.  A three-time prep all-conference pick, Renaldo moved over to Stillwater High School for his senior season so he could play with members of his club team, St. Croix Tsunami.  That St. Croix team was five-time State Cup champions and five-time Premier League champions.  In addition, Vega played for the Minnesota Olympic Development team for six years.  He attended the regional camp for four of those years.
