Justin Armstrong hit the provisional standard in the 400-meter dash as the University of Wisconsin-Parkside track & field squads opened up the 2013-2014 season on Dec. 6 at Grand Valley State University's Laker Early Bird inside the Kelly Family Sports Center.

Armstrong finished third in the 400, circling the track in an indoor personal record time of 49.56 seconds. The junior sprinter additionally placed fourth in the 200-meter dash, clocking a 22.39 and finishing nine-hundredths of a second off hitting the provisional standard.
