University of Wisconsin-Parkside men's cross country runner Evan Lewandowski was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Runner of the Week for the fourth time in his career on Wednesday, Oct. 1.
The senior claims the award after placing sixth overall and fifth among scoring runners at Saturday's Roy Griak Invitational. Touring the 8,000-meter layout at the Les Bolstad Golf Course in 26 minutes, six seconds, the Medford, Wisconsin native was faster than 403 other runners in the Maroon Division II race, helping the 15th-ranked Rangers secure the team title at the event, topping ninth-ranked Augustana College by nine points.
A 2012 All-American, Lewandowski was also recognized by the GLVC on Sept. 13 and Oct. 18, 2011 in addition to Oct. 9, 2012.
