The Great Lakes Valley Conference released its weekly awards on April 18 with University of Wisconsin-Parkside baseball student-athlete Tyler Jandron earning GLVC Pitcher of the Week accolades.

Jandron earns the award after tossing a complete game shutout on Sunday, guiding the Rangers (6-25, 2-14 GLVC) to a 3-0 upset of 19th-ranked University of Indianapolis at Oberbruner Field. The sophomore southpaw struck out five and allowed just two hits and two walks in the seven inning contest. The performance was Jandron's second complete game shutout of his collegiate career, also going the distance against Rockhurst University last season on March 21 in a 2-0 victory at nearby Augie Schmidt Field in Kenosha.

The business management major leads UW-Parkside in earned run average (2.72), appearances (12), innings pitched (43) and strikeouts (55) in 2016 and becomes the first Ranger to claim GLVC Player of the Week since Mario Samuel captured the honor on April 1, 2014.
