The Great Lakes Valley Conference released its weekly award winners on Monday, Oct. 19 with the University of Wisconsin-Parkside volleyball squad's Rebecca Roembke earning GLVC Offensive Player of the Week accolades.
 
Roembke earns the accolade after helping the Rangers (15-6, 6-3 GLVC) finish the 2015 Midwest Region Crossover Tournament undefeated for the third time in four years, steamrolling a trio of Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference foes in straight sets.
 
The marketing major collected 12 kills and seven digs in a 3-0 win over the University of Findlay to open the Crossover on Oct. 16 in Aurora, Illinois before notching 18 kills with a .567 hitting percentage in a three-set sweep of Tiffin University to close the day. The outside hitter finished the tournament with six kills and six digs on Oct. 17, defeating Michigan Tech University for the second time this season.
 
Roembke finished with 36 kills and 19 digs, averaging 4.0 kills per set while owning an attack percentage of .378. Her performance landed her a spot on the All-Tournament Team and becomes the first Ranger GLVC Player of the Week honoree since Kendyl Danelski claimed the honor on Oct. 28, 2013.
