Nathan Anderson joined Parkside Athletics as a Strength and Conditioning Graduate Assistant in August of 2026.

Anderson assists with the development and implementation of strength and conditioning programs for Parkside's varsity student-athletes, helping oversee performance training, athlete development and daily weight room operations.

Prior to joining the Rangers, Anderson gained strength and conditioning experience as an intern at Aurora University, where he designed a 12-week offseason training program for the women's soccer team and worked with seven varsity sports, including men's and women's wrestling, men's and women's volleyball, men's lacrosse, men's soccer, women's hockey and women's basketball. He also collaborated with coaches and fellow interns on performance programming, athlete monitoring and the implementation of new speed, agility and recovery methods.

In addition to his strength and conditioning background, Anderson has served as an assistant coach for the North Central College men's volleyball program since 2025, specializing in defensive strategy and passing development. He has also coached with Cyclones Volleyball Club since 2019, working with athletes ranging from youth players to 18-year-olds while leading practices, skill development and tournament competition.

Outside of athletics, Anderson has worked as a fitness specialist, fitness supervisor and personal trainer with Delnor Health & Fitness Center, where he conducts health assessments, supervises facility operations, trains staff and educates members on proper exercise techniques and wellness practices.

Anderson earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science with a minor in physiology from Aurora University. A three-year captain of the Spartans men's volleyball team, he was a four-time NACC Scholar-Athlete and helped lead Aurora to an NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 appearance. He holds certifications in First Aid, CPR/AED and the NSCA Certified Personal Trainer credential and is currently pursuing his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification.
