Christian Komitas joined the Parkside Wrestling Staff in August of 2024.
Prior to Parkside, Komitas was a wrestler at Aurora University where he was a NCAA Division III national qualifier at 174lbs in 2024. During his senior season at Aurora, Komitas led the Spartans with 42 wins, with 16 of those coming via technical fall and five by fall. He was the third-place finisher at the NCAA Division III Upper Midwest regional. He posted a total record of 42-11 his senior season. He was also the team captain, All-Conference and voted the team’s most valuable wrestler.
Christian has multiple year of coaching experience. Most recently he was an assistant with SPAR Wrestling Academy from 2021-24. He also has spent time as a volunteer assistant at Aurora university (2023-23) and DeKalb High School (2020-21).
Komitas graduated from Aurora University in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a minor in coaching.
