Ben Loyd was named the Graduate Assistant for Student-Athlete Success at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in August 2025.

In his role, Loyd assists in coordinating and implementing a variety of programs designed to enhance the academic, personal, and professional development of Parkside’s student-athletes. He helps oversee initiatives such as the supervised study program, student-athlete orientation, awards ceremonies, and career development events, while collaborating closely with coaches, campus partners, and athletic department staff to promote overall student success.

A native of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, Loyd is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Sport Management at Parkside. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communications from Northern Illinois University, where he was also a member of the NIU baseball team. Loyd’s collegiate baseball career included time at several institutions—Notre Dame, Western Kentucky, and Kaskaskia College—where he earned multiple academic and athletic honors. While at Kaskaskia, he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was named All-Conference and All-Region XXIV after leading the Great Rivers Athletic Conference in batting average and ranking 11th nationally in NJCAA Division I.

Beyond the classroom and the diamond, Loyd gained valuable experience in leadership and teamwork through both his athletic career and professional roles. He previously worked with New Image in Pleasant Prairie, contributing to large-scale residential and commercial projects through detailed and team-oriented work.

Loyd is a member of Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Association’s official honor society, and has earned numerous academic distinctions, including the Dean’s List at Northern Illinois, the President’s List at Western Kentucky, and Magna Cum Laude honors at Kaskaskia.
