Parkside Athletics

Ashley Mermolia joined the Parkside staff as an assistant athletic trainer in June of 2022. She is responsible for cross country, wrestling, and will assist with track and field. She came to UW-Parkside after serving as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at McKendree University from August 2020 to May of 2022.

A native of Muskego, Wis., Mermolia graduated from Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio in May of 2020 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training and Health Sciences. She went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Health Administration from McKendree University in May of 2022.

Mermolia has been certified by the NATA Board of Certification since 2020 and is licensed by the state of Wisconsin as well as Illinois. She is also a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, The Great Lakes Athletic Trainers’ Association, and the Wisconsin Athletic Trainers’ Association.
