Brittany Nikolic was named head coach of the Parkside women’s soccer program in June 2015, becoming just the fourth head coach in program history. She will enter her 11th season at the helm in 2026.
The 2025 season was one of the most successful campaign in program history. Parkside finished 10-8-2 overall and posted a program-best 9-4-1 record in GLIAC play, earning a second-place finish in the conference standings. The Rangers hosted their first-ever GLIAC Tournament match and defeated Purdue Northwest 2-0 in the opening round. The season featured six College Sports Communicators All-District selections and three All-GLIAC honorees, led by Emily Mikkelson, who earned All-Region recognition.
Nikolic guided Parkside to another historic postseason run in 2023, as the Rangers advanced to the GLIAC Championship match for the first time. Entering the tournament as the sixth seed, Parkside defeated No. 3 Michigan Tech and nationally ranked No. 2 Grand Valley State before falling in a 1-0 final to Northern Michigan. Alexis Baker earned First Team All-GLIAC honors, while Abbey Canfield received Honorable Mention recognition.
Across her tenure, Nikolic has led Parkside to multiple GLIAC Tournament appearances while developing numerous All-GLIAC and All-Region performers. Highlights include a marquee win over then-No. 6 Grand Valley State during the 2022 season, continued postseason qualification during Parkside’s transition to the GLIAC beginning in 2018, and steady program growth following her arrival.
Prior to Parkside, Nikolic was the head coach at Alverno College, where she rebuilt the program into a conference contender and departed as the program’s all-time winningest coach. She also gained Division I coaching experience as an assistant at Northwestern, UNLV, and Milwaukee, helping guide Milwaukee to Horizon League regular-season and tournament championships and UNLV to Mountain West Conference titles.
A former standout student-athlete, Nikolic played at Stanford University from 2000–03, leading the Cardinal to four NCAA Tournament appearances, including a Pac-10 Championship and NCAA Quarterfinal berth in 2002. She earned two All-Pac-10 Honorable Mention selections and was a two-time Academic All-Pac-10 honoree.
A native of Los Angeles, California, Nikolic earned her bachelor’s degree in American Studies from Stanford University in 2004
